Where we are and what to expect

U-Jive are currently reviewing availability of halls to enable us to restart running our weekly class. When we are able to disclose this to you, an e-mail will be sent and the web site amended.

The format for the evening will be:

19:45 - Doors open

Come on in, register if new, sort out your drink and get ready for a great night. Unlike some other franchises U-Jive do not charge a membership fee.

20:00 - Beginner lesson

This lesson comprises of 3 or 4 beginner moves which you'll be dancing as a routine after 40 minutes.

20:40 - Freestyle

This is your chance to practise what you've learnt after the Beginner lesson has ended.

21:10 - Beginners

Those who have been for less than six weeks or wish to go through the Beginner lesson will now have an opportunity to revisit the lesson with our crew members.

21:10 - Intermediate lesson

When you feel confident with the Beginner moves (normally about six weeks or less if you've previous dance experience) you now have the opportunity to learn and master some more difficult and challenging moves in the Intermediate lesson.

21:45 - Freestyle

A further freestyle period runs through to 23:00 hours where you have the chance to practise those moves you've learnt, socialise with your fiends or just chill and watch.

(These times are approximate. We do try to keep to them as close as possible but we also want to ensure that our dancers have grasped the moves.)
